Anyone ever use a Lee Loader?

Re: Anyone ever use a Lee Loader?

for less than 100 bucks you can buy the Lee Anniversary kit which is at least a decent single stage loader and has everything except dies that you need to get started.

Its a much better start than the lee loader.....

Re: Anyone ever use a Lee Loader?

I've used the Lee Loader. It works but alot of hammering.

I think a better entry level would be the Lee Breech Lock Handpress. You can get started for under $100 and it is faster. Plus you can reload at the rifle range with it unlike everything else.

Re: Anyone ever use a Lee Loader?

The Lee Loader is basically a neck size only die. You hammer a case in and out to resize just the neck down. It will work for a bolt action to fire the cases in the same gun, usually. For anything else it's a crapshoot.
Buy a Lee press, good dies, and a scale and trickler. Load.
Add more as you can. Go shoot.
