Anyone got Forster Bushing Bump Neck Sizing Dies?

Re: Anyone got Forster Bushing Bump Neck Sizing Dies?

They are better than sliced bread. I love mine. I load 308 on a Dillon 650. All dies are floating on o-rings and I have the bushing bump die, a sinclair expander, and a forster micrometer seater. I get consistent .0005-.0015 concentricity.

Accuracy wise, I doubt the bushing bump die gains much if anything over a regular neck die, but it "feels" like your closing the bolt on a factory or FLS cartridge. I hate the tight bolt closing from neck-only sized cartridges.

Also - just wait till Midway has the 308 "kit" in stock. It comes with 3 bushings for only a few $$ more than the die itself...the bushings run $10 each normally.

Re: Anyone got Forster Bushing Bump Neck Sizing Dies?

I use Forster dies for pretty much everything, but I do use the Hornady bushing shoulder bump die in 308 (it's what I could get at the time) and have not felt the need to "upgrade" at all. I don't think they are much less $, but they can use any of the bushings I have. They are well made and very smooth.

Just another piece of the puzzle!

Re: Anyone got Forster Bushing Bump Neck Sizing Dies?

I use Forster bench-rest dies exclusively and I am very happy with them. The Redding seems to be a LITTLE bit better machined, but really does not preform any better than the Forster. I am also very partial to their Co Ax press.

They almost always have Forester stuff in stock when everyone else is out and their prices are pretty much in line with the others.
