Any seating depth decision should be based specifically on the limitations of YOUR rifle. Are you mag feeding? If so, what are the mag limits. How long is your chamber's throat?
There is no shortcut. Do a little reading on checking these things--then check them--then do your own load development.

My COAL with that bullet is 2.815 and I am .020 off the lands. But like what 19scout77 said. Get the proper tools and measure your chamber. personally I use the RCBS Precision Mic.
