Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

VAPORWARE!!

JAE intro'd these units at SHOT just over 3 years ago and they have not come through with them yet despite having MANY people who have paid for stocks waiting patiently (and some impatiently) for them to arrive. There was a lengthy thread a while back about this same issue that you can probably find with a quick search.

The long and short of it is that JAE will come through eventually and get these stocks to market and into the hands of people who paid for them several years ago, but for now, they are simply not available.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

That is a bummer because they have a really nice looking product. Do you know of any other stocks that are as nice or nicer that can actually be purchased?

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I personally think that is the best looking chassis on the market (the JAE that is). Too bad it isn't actually "on the market". I hate to wait around on it since it looks like it will never be released, but I just might do that.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I've only seen the JAE-100 M1A stock

Its heavy beyond belief, but very comfy.

I wonder why they are taking so damn long with these.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

PDC's setup looks good, I'm just not a fan of the skeleton stuff. I'm honestly not a huge fan of chassis-type stocks period, but the JAE does look good. I wouldn't mind trying one out if they would ever release one.

Has anyone attempted to contact them and ask some questions? Perhaps why it is taking so long? Who on here has one of these pre-ordered?

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I just talked to Lisa @ JAE yesterday. The JAE700 stocks were not released 3 years ago. There was only one JAE 700 stock back then, a non- working prototype. It was was SHOWN at the Shot Show 3 years ago, to see if there was interest in it. The interest was huge, so JAE spent the last three years developing and refining it, and the results will be hitting the streets in the summer. The people who put down a deposit will get served first. The JAE 100 will also see a slight design change, and upgraded to a G3, I have a G2 on order for my M1a, and was given the option of recieving a G2 in 2-3 weeks, or waiting for the tooling to be changed over to the G3 and recieving the G3 in 2-3 months. I chose to wait for the G3. I also ordered a Jae700. JAE listens to what people want, and the feedback was that people didn't want to have to buy another set of proprietary magazines, so rather than develop their own DBM and magazines they went with AI DBM, and magazines.

Regards,

Rick

Well that's all well and good, Rick, but the simple fact of the matter is that they have been taking money for a LONG TIME now for these stocks and despite promises of them being available soon...THEY STILL AIN'T AVAILABLE YET ARE THEY?!?!

I understand the need for product development, revisions to prototypes, "giving the customers what they want," etc., but for people who are seriously looking for a stock that they can actually obtain and install on their rifles without waiting several more months (best case scenario), the JAE is OUT OF THE QUESTION despite promises of them finally "hitting the streets in the summer." I assume that the ones hitting the streets in the summer will be for those who paid as long as a couple years back, but did she say when a "new order" might hope to receive a stock? Sure, if people can afford to or otherwise don't mind waiting another 4-6mos or more for one of these stocks, then they should. Its not an option for everyone though.

As I said before, JAE will come through eventually and get these stocks to market and into the hands of people who paid for them several years ago, and they will probably be very good products just like the JAE100 stocks...but if you want/need a stock now...look elsewhere!

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I sent them an email today and got a fairly fast response from Lisa Jones. Estimate lead time for orders that are placed now is july/august.

I'm going to wait and see how things turn out. I would place an order now so I could get the rebates but I just don't feel like spending the money honestly, and also want to wait until someone else gets this in their hands.

Also asked if they are going to inlet them for LH shooters, waiting for a response on that. I cannot find anywhere online that says they will/will not.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

@ Ord, I'm not defending (or attacking) JAE, and I don't know what was said three years ago to make people send in a deposit, but I wouldn't be too happy after 6 months much less 3 years of waiting. Lisa seems pretty genuine, and is quick to call back and email. Like I said, I have a JAE100 G3 on order and now a 700 stock on order. I just thought I'd pass on what Lisa (JAE VP of Sales and Marketing) told me.

Regards,

Rick

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I'm one of those that put down my deposit 2 years ago. I dont mind the wait, considering the product. If you are concerned about JAE, talk to Kasey at Accushot - he vouches for Lisa and her product. I've talked to her and emailed a dozen times over the months, and she's a great lady.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

Patience is the key. I don't have much of it. haha.

I'm going to order a cheaper stock to get me by until this comes out.

I'm sure I'll have to wait 3 more years for a LH version. I think they will have to redesign the entire center section of the stock to get it to work, not just a simple insert.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I'd buy if these actually were available but there are threads just like this from 3 years ago. I'd be pissed if someone had my money for that long!!! Looks like a very well finished and well built chassis. Too bad these are even being talked about when they're so far from production.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I put down a deposit mid-last year, and was told mine would most likely be produced sometime this spring. If they told me it would be ready in a month I would now be upset, but they made a point of not doing that.

Like ORD said, it'll be a great stock for many of us when it comes, but it's not for someone who needs one this month.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I want to be clear that I am neither attacking, nor am I criticizing, nor am I hating on JAE! That is absolutely NOT the case at all. The only thread I have intended to be "pissed" at JAE was one in which I hypothetically said that I would be "pissed" if they'd have taken my money years ago and failed to deliver the product I paid for in that time. In all fairness to JAE, I have used their M1A stocks in the past with great success and find their quality, functionality and overall value to be very good! Also, the response that Lisa from JAE has provided to folks recently seems to have been given with the utmost attention to the customers (and potential customers). That is commendable and something that can be completely overlooked this day and age.

I am ONLY critical of the fact that this JAE700 project has been a LONG time in the works with ZERO product thus far despite many people waiting patiently (or impatiently) in the wings with money paid to JAE for a product that they don't yet have (some who have been waiting for years now). As I have said several times before (in this thread and others), when the JAE700 arrives, I am sure it will be a quality product. People who are looking to buy one of these stocks, like the OP, just need to be made aware of the continued delays with this product becoming available and with full knowledge of that fact, decide whether it is something they are willing to wait for or not.

I don't think that they are "in stock." The website says "Please Call for Current Availability and Options" followed later by "Note: We have a number of these in pre-production, ready to customize to your specs. ***Special Order Custom Built Per Your Specs - Limited Availability***" )Emphasis Added).

Seems as though Gunner has them pre-ordered, along with the rest of the folks anxiously awaiting their availability, and by purchasing through him at US Armorment, you are buying an earlier spot in line with a stock close to the first production run that you can add/subtract features. Even the pics are shown with the old, now removed proprietary mag design.

Re: Anyone have/see JAE 700 stock

I wonder how many people actually pre-ordered one of these? It will most likely take them months to get those orders filled once they finally do release them.

Let me make this simple. I am not here to impugn Lisa or what she says. I have made similar comments to unobtanium about the Ashburry International. I have also shot behind a Ashburry on several occasions at multiple locations.

I am more than happy to retract my comment if or when they hit the mainstream. One would have to admit that taking deposits for something that has not been delivered for 2-3 years would be difficult to stomach (at least it would be for me).
