Anyone have some loads for this bullet?

They share profile, weight, cannelure, and of course caliber with Hornady's 220gr Interlock RN. For 30-06 the 4350 powders look best. COL was 3.210". I used that data as a guide when I got some old Herters 30 cal 220gr RN from a friend.

The load blocks are made by pro-nra .He is my shooting buddy and hangs out mostly on the calguns site in the military and black powder discussions. Also on the Swedish mauser page of gunboards

Yes they are in .308. I forgot to mention that. Why would they not chamber? That is the same length I load 175s to.

If you don't have a problem I will be extremely shocked. You better put a comparator on them before you even try to chamber one. If you dont have a comparator, take an old or scrap case (resized of course), split the neck to the shoulder on two sides with a dremel or saw, deburr the cut, put a spare bullet in the case to the cannelure and insert in chamber and close the bolt. I am betting that your rifle lands will push that sucker a bit farther down in the case than what you have them seated to now. I could be wrong but if I am not you may be making a huge mistake. You could just pray your chamber has a really long throat and hope for the best...but I don't advise it.

Thanks for the warning. Out of curiosity I mic'd the bullets and from the base to the cannelure they measure .309" and from the cannelure out it starts tapering from .300" down. So really I should be ok but I will have to try the cut brass trick just to make sure

The fatter diameter towards the tip (versus a standard BTHP or FMJ) may contact the rifling very, very early. The bore diameter of a standard .308 Win measures .300", so you may be okay. If they chamber easily, you shouldn't have any problems. Just make sure you consider this a jammed load and know that the pressure will be a little higher than a non-jammed 220gr bullet. Either way, keep us updated. I'd love to see how these shoot.

I finally got a chance to go try these out this weekend and if my phone will cooperate i'll post up a video. the rounds fired flawlessly. they actually kicked less and were quieter than my usual 168smk. that may be because of the lower charge weight but I was very pleased with them. I do have a purpose for them now... I have a 300 black barrel on order for an ar that will be suppressed. they should be really quiet!

you really can't tell the difference in the video, but its really noticeable in person
