Anyone use the A-6 with a heavier R700 SA barreled action for normal prone or bench shooting? Thinking about getting away from the cold metal chassis and warming up to a more inviting housing. Any likes/dislikes? TIA.

I use several A5s and A4s. I like the feel of them more than a chassis myself. However, the adjustability of most chassis is superior.
An A6 will serve you well. Go with the 3-way adjustable butt if you are worried more about fit. I've gone there and back, and just order the standard 1" decelerator at 13.5" LOP. It fits me well.
