Anyone one running a 20" 260 GAP-10?

Just wondering if going 20" would be to much of a velocity drop. What FPS are you getting with 120-140 class bullets? What is the longest range fired with this set up?

Hello 260shooter,

what were you looking to compare the velocity drop to?

around the 20 inch length, we have found going longer and shorter generally increases and decrease velocity by about 15-30 fps per inch.

Thanks for the reply Ken. Is 2850-2900 fps possible with 120 class bullets?

I have a 20" GAP-10 in 6.5CM. I shot some factory 120 amax rounds and it was in the high 2,800's if I remember correctly. The factory 140's are 2,720ish in my rifle.

Thanks JSF. The 260 should have the same potiential. I would prefer the 20" length if I can get away with it and still have good velocity.
