Anyone recognize the barrel on this Armalite AR10.

Anyone have any idea what barrel this is? I do not believe that is a detachable brake, since he has another 223 barrel loose with the same brake but it appears to be apart of the barrel.

I don't recognize it, and I prowled around the interwebs for a few minutes with no luck. Possibly a custom jobber from a barrelsmith? I know Faxon released some barrels with integrates brakes not -too- long ago, and it seemed to be a newer thing when that happened. Although I wouldn't doubt that someone has possibly been doing it for years prior, I just hadn't come it across it before, and stil doesn't seem to be a common trend.

Thanks for the response. I found them at my buddies and he was a gunsmith. Not sure if he did these himself or not... Ill have to do some more digging.
