Re: Anyone run a PWS MK114 AR?
Thanks Acidery for linking my post here...
K_4c... I am running one in a long term test for PWS. I just finished an advanced tactical carbine course with this rifle, and I let some of my students run it. We put over 1800 rounds through it with zero problems.
However, once I started running it, I noticed that it was double feeding, so I took it apart and found that the claw on the extractor was broken. I was running this gun VERY hard, and... although I had never experienced an extractor failure, this one did. I replaced the extractor, with a new Colt extractor, wolf spring, black insert and o ring... and the thing ran flawlessly again for the rest of the week.
I have run this gun on full auto, and find that the PWS compenator / brake does a very remarkable job keeping the muzzle down.
It is also VERY accurate. I am running a TA31F ACOG on it, with a Geissele SSA trigger in it. In my opinion, it's AR Perfection.
I can find absolutely NOTHING bad to say about this carbine.
Check out my post... and PM me any quesions if you like. I can put you in touch with Todd at PWS if you like. He can answer any manufacturing questions you may have. He's a heck of a guy, and very nice to deal with.
I would HIGHLY recommend this carbine to anyone. Bar none.
Cheers,
Darren
