Just like the title says.....I was wondering if anyone is running a 28" barrel on their .260 or 6.5 Creedmoor. I bought a 31" Kreiger barrel only because it was the only one I could get quickly. Since I have the ability to finish at a longer length I'm wondering if it's worth the extra length so I dont have to load them as hot and therefore extend barrel life.

I run a 28" barrel on my 6.5 Creedmoor. Doesn't get pushed super hard to get 2800+ fps with 140 AMAX factory load. 26" would work fine also if you wanted it a little shorter.

30" Kreiger here in 260 & my buddy has a 28" Bartlein in 260 ... No regrets from either of us. Both of these guns were built for 500 to 1000yd matches.
