Hey Guys,

I have been peaking at the Ashbury stocks for the last couple of days. I have an TRG 42 and am wondering if there is anyone currently using their system. My main question is: Why is their MOD 1 stock worth $2500.00? I have read that is the price. Hopefully I am wrong. If you are using one, tell me why it would be worth it for me to get one please. Thanks

Re: Anyone Shooting Ashbury Int for TRG???

The price you listed is only off by $50. They're $2550. Poison123 had one that he just sold not too long ago.

I can't give you any sense of worth because the wait time is long and I'm still waiting for mine to arrive. The primary cost issue is related to machine time, then R&D costs and cool factor definitely helps in selling product.

Ultimately, I didn't have a huge NEED. It fulfilled a WANT so I ordered it.

Maverick

Thanks for the post. I saw Poison's for sale (it LOOKED AWESOME). I agree with you about aesthetics. I have another rifle in a XLR stock that was only $750.00. I can't afford the Ashbury att, but I do love the look. That is the selling point for me...

There's a lot of good chassis systems out there. Why I like the Ashbury:

Balance is pretty spot on for me. Majority of the weight is in the butt stock so its pretty easy to shoot the rifle in a non prone unsupported position.

Grip Angle works well for me also.

The Carbon Fiber works pretty well for a heat shield letting you go a little longer on your firing strings before mirage starts to hose you.

You also don't need to buy the MOD1 right off the bat. You can order a vartiation of the MOD0/1 and cut some of the cost down.

POISON

Are you saying that you could purchase the MOD0 first and if you wanted to add the rail system you could order it in the future? Is the 20 moa rail and rail accessories the only difference between MOD0 and MOD1? That seems to be what I have seen and read on their site...

Thanks for answering some questions brother!

Re: Anyone Shooting Ashbury Int for TRG???

Main differences between the 0 and 1 are:

Rails
Folding Stock

I'm running a MOD 0+1 for my main match gun at the moment.

Its basically the 0 with the underslung Rail and Folding stock.
