Anyone try the .17 HMR lead free ammo yet?

CCI has their 16gr .17 HMR lead free ammo out now, Midway has it in stock.

Anyone try it out yet?

It's going to open up some more hunting opportunities here in CA in the lead ban zones so I'm hoping it's good. I've ordered some in any case, just wanting to set my expectation level as far as accuracy goes.

I haven't purchased any yet, but I did find some at a local store. Price was about $16 a box of 50.

Dfoosking : for bird shot it's not about the hunter dropping dead it's about the lead levels in the marshes, the amount of ammo I used to go through in bird season was quite high not to mention all the other hunters out there, that's why in Canada you can only use steel shot for migratory birds privet or crown land. I'm guessing but it's probably only a matter of time before it's the same for you.. but this is the first I've heard of rifle ammo being lead free.
