I am thinking of using this muzzle brake on my LMT MWS with the possibility of adding a Surefire suppressor at a later date. Any input on difficulty of installation, effect on accuracy or reduction of felt recoil will be appreciated.
    TIA

I have the non SOCOM model on my MWS. Clint from Heavy Buffers did the install. I had it installed for state compliance requirements. Ill never be able to add a can. Not being able to fire the rifle with the A2 cage I cant give a before/after impression.

It beats a target crown for my needs, isnt obnoxiuosly loud for the shooter, and I havent had complaints from people in the blast zone. As far as recoil reduction - its less than my 03's or Garand but I expected that.

PS - There is nothing cheap or crappy about its design/materials, looks.

You will need a barrel vise block or rubber vise bumpers, the correct wrench and some carb cleaner(or any other non lubricating cleaner). remove current muzzle device and clean the threads on barrel and in the new brake with carb cleaner then let dry. Once dry, hand thread on the brake until all the way on and see where it lines up in reference to the chart in the instructions. From this you should be able to get the shims that will get you close. Select the shims that will align the brake hand tight so that you need about 22 degrees more rotation to hit dead center. Remove, put included rock set on the threads then tighten until centered.

I've seen zero change in poa/poi out to 600 yards. Recoil is better in that it's straight back, no rise.

I like mine. It's pretty effective. I've had a few people next to me comment on the blast but I just put my 762k on and they're happy. I work in a machine shop so installing it was easy for me. Use the shims not the crush washer. And take your time to get the brake clocked right. I think you will be happy

It's one of the best "conventional" looking brakes in reducing recoil. I've used the PWS, POF 3 port and most recently the ops inc and the SureFire is hands down my favorite. I'm currently debating right now if I want to deviate from the MK12 look of my MATEN to put a SureFire on instead of the Ops Inc.

I have one on an Armalite AR10. Easy enough to install. Reduced recoil a lot. Clears the shooting positions next to me. About 1" of POI shift @ 100y with the FA762K suppressor on it.

As a break it is great, but if you don't already have the can to go with it get with the new SOCOM model (SFMB-762-5/8-24) for your LMT. SF has changed their index system on the new breaks and cans. None of the new cans will fit on the 211C and they are not making the older ones anymore.

Thanks for to update on the brake. I already ordered the 211C from Brownells perhaps it isn't to late to change the order if they have the SFMB in stock
