Aliant site shows awsome loads in 223 and 7-08 with 'heavy bullets'.
Not much posted about its use. It sure sounds interesting. I know nothing more about it.
Temperature sensitivity is important for me as I shoot 50 deg, to 100.
I would like feedback on this powder.
I am currently using H4350 in 7-08 and would like to speed it up a bit per their published load.

Wish I could give info on the 2 calibers you mentioned but ... I shoot 308 Win. In that if has been awesome and well worth the switch from IMR4895 & N150, not to mention cheaper. using either 175 or 185 projectiles and have had a full 4 MOA drop from usual data for 600 out to 1,000 yds. I'm in east central AL w/ usual humidity & high heat. I have not shot my max loads in high heat but will have more data around June.

Like i've said before in previous post about 2000MR. Its not as temp stable as Varget and H4350 but useable. I've done a lot of testing with it. If you are right on the edge of pressure in the winter you will probably be too hot come summer time. I worked up my loads in the summer (south louisiana) and I shoot the same load all year with great results even though I loose a little velocity come winter time. It still shoots very well but i've never shot the load with temps under 40 degrees. The reason I went to 2000MR is because the velocity is awesome, meters great and my gun loves it, Varget shoots well in my gun but 2000MR shoots VERY well in my gun and ive shot F-TR matches from last August till now with it and so far it has served me well.

I found 41grs worked best with 162AMAXs in my 708. Shot this @300yds with my 700 S/S.

Thanks for the positive info. I am not completely lame but admit the search here on SH is not so efficient for me somehow.
I have Winchester brass and 162's. I also have some Berger 168's but they are not as uniform [tip length] and as a beginner at reloading [one year] they do not seem to be as easy to get them all the same length to the ojive.

Just segregate them according to their appropriate ogive lengths, I did that with their 105VLDs, there wasnt much difference really, only .002".

I use it with 155 gr pills from my .308 with great results. It is not as temperature stable as varget, but it does fairly well. I currently am driving about 2950 with zero pressure signs, and excellent accuracy. I was driving at 3100 and had some createring of primers. what i did notice though was it had to get really hot out to really see a lot of speed change.

Google search any term and add snipers hide at the end and you'll be surprised at the results. "2000mr snipers hide" on google and you'll see several threads.

I use the Hodgdon CFE223. It's supposed to be the twin of 2000mr, I guess. But I love it too for the extra velocity experienced out of my 16" .308. Burns cleaner than anything else I have, gun cleaning faster & easier. So I shoot up to 180 grain bullets which are Nosler Balistic Tips & the Combined Technology Silver Tips. Can get them past 2550 fps from my 16". That was this winter, will reduce and come back up for summer test to be safe.

I had some better luck with search and have read enough to want to try it, first with 75 amax in my 8 twist 24" 223 rem.
I read it has some good success rate with shooters regarding accuracy and most claim good velocity. Better temp sensitivity than 2520. Sounds like a good powder to try. It sure would be neat to have it work out in 7-08 and 223 both but I am way ahead of myself.

I finally found some 2000MR after casually watching for it for a while. I had been shooting 162gr A-max's out of my 7-08 with H4350. I had to load a max load of H4350 to get 2600fps from my 22" barrel. I tried the recommended charge of 2000MR and clocked 2500fps with good accuracy. At 2600fps I started seeing pressure signs so I backed off. It burns a lot cleaner than H4350 and I like it better. Its also pretty cheap too.

I ran 20 162's [7-08] Today. 9.25 25". 44gr. H4350. Near case head seperation. Dissapointing. Probably about 2600. at about .035 jump cases started to calm down but not enough. I do not know why this happens to me. Primers ok. Case heads always seem to show ugliness.
