Anyone using the Whiskey 3 stock with their Tikka?

Just wondering, I've seen lots of nice pics on the KRG site, and heard a smattering of posting here and there, but how are they working out for you if you have one?

Are you liking the build quality?, the weight? is accuracy improved? Would you carry this around all day looking for an elk, or just for range use or classes? Does it meet your expectations, or is it a bit 'too much'?

Pics would be welcome of course!

I'm kinda on the fence between this and a Manners stock for a Tikka .308 build I'm going to do next year.

Between these two manufacturers, these seem to be the best options for aftermarket stocks for the Tikka.

How are these working for you in the field?

Not trying to throw mud on the KRG chassis, as it looks very good, but I ordered a Manners for the wife's Tikka Varmint .223. Wow! What a change it made.

I can't say it shoots any better, as this rifle has always shot better than it has any right to, but the new stock makes it feel like a fine custom rife. Much easier to get consistent cheekweld, very good feel at the pistol grip, etc.

My bride now calls her rifle the "Baby Gap," as it looks and feels (and shoots) like my Crusader. She'll be taking it to Gunsite for a PR7 class in September, and if the wind doesn't get too far out of line, I think she'll do very well.

Cheers... Jim

I have used this stock for some time on my TRG. Although it's not a "Tikka" stock, it does show the build quality and level of commitment from KRG.

First, the thing is built like a tank. I put mine through the ringer up to and including the cup, and I was far from gentle. I NEVER had an issue whatsoever. The stock is fully adjustable so if you can't make it fit you exactly, you're not trying. And believe me, you don't have as much trouble as I do in finding a stock that fits.
The folding aspect of the stock was rock-solid. It never felt loose or had any play whatsoever. When the stock was locked you didn't even know you were shooting a folder.

BTW, I shoot left-handed and this stock does not interfere either way.

Plus, it's a good looking stock too. It adds to the uniqueness of the TRG. Here are a couple of pics.

I was really hoping to see more responses about this chassis. I am currently on the waiting list for KRG's next run of Whiskey 3 chassis. I'll be putting it on a T3 Varmint in 223.

The price point is not set in stone yet however I can assure you it will be substantially less than the TRG folder. No dremmeling at all, it's really an easy swap. Takes about 5-10 minutes with a couple of allen wrenches.
