Anyone with a surefire 762 Socom MB?

Does any one have a surefire socom 762 MB that could provide me the width measurement of this part of the brake?

.125” or 1/8” wide on all of my muzzle devices, 5.56, 6.5, 6.8 and 7.62.

Perfect! My 556 socom will work with my caliber but the muzzle threads are 5/8x24 so ordered a 762 MB so hoping my RC1 socom will mount up

Unless they’ve recently changed, Surefire 5.56 suppressors will only fit 5.56 muzzle devices.

What makes them not fit? I was thinking it was a different indexing notch but it’s not that unless it’s a different depth. If I can modify the brake to fit the suppressor I will as long as it doesn’t cause alignment issues. I’m going to order a 7.62 can but this would get me by until I could physically posses said tube

My understanding is the taper controls the seating depth of the suppressor. Top is the 762 brake, bottom is 556.

You go from large caliber to small. Not the other way around for safety purposes. A 556 RC2 will not fit on a 762 muzzle device.

I wonder if my RC1 will? Either it work or it won’t. But I’ll have a 762 socom brake either way . 762ti will hopefully be bought soon then wait on the form 4

Yes, your RC1 will fit the SOCOM muzzle devices.
