APA LB Gen 2 vs 3

I have both, in terms of felt recoil reduction it seems pretty similar with a caveat that it depends on caliber. On my 6.5CM pretty much don't notice a difference in recoil because there was pretty much none to begin with but the top ports appear to keep me on target even better. On my 300WM it made a pretty fair increase in both categories felt recoil reduction and staying on target with a lightweight hunting 300WM with a carbon fiber barrel.
Didn’t feel any noticeable difference in going from gen 2 to gen 3 in 6.5x47 or 6 dasher.
6.5x47 originally had a surefire socom, which sucked, went to a 6.5mm PVA jet blast which was a yuge step up, then tried a LB g2 which was just as good, and now a g3 is on there.
Dasher now wears the PVA jet blast.
IMO the jet blast, gen2 and gen3 are interchangeable with no discernible difference.
But don’t forget, you get extra points in matches if you have the latest and greatest gear.

I’m still messing with the gen 3. Need to mess with the ports. I have all the screws in.
So far, my gen 2 gives me a straight back push and the gen 3 seems to be more of a whipping up with muzzle (we are talking slightly). So hopefully the ports will fix that.
In reality though, on 6mm cartridges, I’m sure I we were at a point of diminishing returns with the gen 2. After a while you take away enough of the felt recoil/muzzle rise and future reductions are going to be much smaller.
