APA Lil B*stard Gen I or II for New Barrel?

I am getting a new 6.5 x 47 Lapua Bartlein barrel fitted soon. I am definitely getting the barrel threaded for a brake. I am torn between the APA LB Gen I or II. I do like the look of a Gen I 'smithed for a seamless appearance. But, is there any advantage to the Gen II aside from saving the labor cost for the 'smith?

Yes, you’d save labor on the gen2. If you do go that route, get the ARea 419 hellfire. Nothing wrong with the fb, the hellfire is just a better and more elegant design.

I second that the Area 419 is better than APA. I shot APA for several thousand rounds and swapped to 419 and I won't go back.
