Looking for someone to chamber a barrel for my DPMS LR 308. Any recommendations for someone that does good work and doesn't have a 6+ month wait?

Check with Paul Craddock at Craddock Precision (Paul used to be with John and company at WOA full-time but he's running his own place now too). Here's a link to his site (not the greatest website, but Paul's work is quite excellent): Wix.com craddockprecision created by pa4444 based on pro-bistro

Paul doesn't have a ton of information re: pricing, etc. on his site yet as he really prefers to communicate direct with customers about what they need/want and provide individualized quotes. You can e-mail him initially with what you want, but I have never had issue getting him on the horn to chat if you'd prefer to got that route first. Paul has done several different barrels for me and for others I know, including recently an 18" match LR-308 pattern barrel that's sitting in queue waiting to be assembled now. Beautiful work and incredibly fast turnaround times. For complete barrels, using my bolts as provided for proper setup of the barrel, I have never waited more than 7wks from shipping my end of things to having my barrels in hand.

Perfect. Just what I was looking for... Ill give him a shout this week. What do his prices run ballpark wise?

Call him about AR-10, since his website says bolt action only. I checked his website after posting initially, so - my bad if he does not work on AR's.

I'm not sure on pricing for doing all that is required for setting up an LR-308 barrel on a customer supplied blank like what you are looking at (if I'm understanding your initial post correctly) as I have always used Paul's blanks when having him run barrels for me (he generally has a good stock of Douglas, Shilen and several others available in house with no wait and others in fairly short order). That said though...his pricing has always been very competitive and reasonable for complete barrels, including add-ons like fluting, bead blasting and other "finishes", concentric threads at the muzzle, custom contouring, etc., based on others I have used in the industry and his turn around is certainly worth any slight premium (if there is any price difference).
