Does anyone have any images of bad feed ramps? I recently purchased an ar10 type rifle in 6.5 cred and when I inspected the upper receiver I noticed the aluminum area below the barrel nut was polished but it was damaged. I have since sent it back but it was returned the same and since then the impact of the bullet noses have deteriorated the accuracy. Gunsmith stated that it was okay. I dont want to mention names. Maybe someone has had this same problems. Initial accuracy was 1/2 Moa for first 50 rds now it is 1 1/2 Moa with same lot number ammo and conditions are almost identical. Thanks in advance.

Oh and if it's hitting that low, it wouldn't feed....

Re: Ar 10 feed ramp damage

Can you provide a picture? If the rifle has M4 feed ramps, they do extend below the barrel extension and into the aluminum upper receiver. If done correctly, it shouldn't cause damage. If done incorrectly or if your magazines are introducing the bullets way too low to the feed ramps, then problems occur.
