Ok so I am wanting to build an AR-10. I have found a couple of sites that offer kits which include everything except the stripped lower, AKPartskit.com being one. 20"-24" barrels prices range from $550.00 to $600.00 to fit armalite lowers which I can get for around $250.00. These prices are considerably lower than complete AR-10's I have found. Looking for advise from those who have had experience with these kits as to their quality and accuracy. And possibly another source for the kits as AKPartskit seem to always be sold out and when I called them was advised that they do not back order. You either catch them when they get posted to their site or miss out. Thanks.

Re: AR 10 kits

I followed your link. That is yet another name for Blackthorne LLC. I copied this from another forum:

"They have changed their name over the years and you can find more information if you google Hesse or Vulcan Armament. Blackthorne is not a reputable company. They are known for using substandard parts and parts intended for airsoft toys. Customer service is inconsistent and non-existent in some cases."

I'd run.

As an alternative, you might check out http://308ar.com/
They have reviews on just that type of rifle, and show several builds.

Make sure you use something compatible with the MagPul PMAG.
