AR 15 bolt cam

Re: AR 15 bolt cam

Im assuming you mean a roller cam pin, since a bolt cam is standard in every BCG. However a roller cam isnt a great plan for a standard AR, as you need to remove the gas key to install it. Meaning you need to remove the gas key to clean the bolt, not an undertaking most want to do every cleaning. Roller cams work in gas piston systems as they don't has a "gas key" and clearance isnt an issue. Thats the last i heard, others may know a bit more.

The POF Roller pin when used with a DI setup has a separate Gas Key that is notched so that you can disassemble the BCG for easy cleaning.

I have been using the LWRC Advanced Cam Pin and have been very pleased with the results.

Unfortunately, I don't see them listed on LWRC's web site anymore.

I upgraded the Cam Pin on my LMT Enhanced Bolt Carrier Groups due to concerns over indentations that I noticed on the standard pins.
The LWRC Advanced Cam Pin does not have these marks and has worked well for me.
