finally a brass catcher that actually works.just had the chance to use a great new product. check out tacticalbrassrecovery.com this guy hit the nail on the head. it is so much more fun to shoot when you arent looking for the cases that didn't get caught.

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

Although it looks rugged and well-made, I don't see too many photos of the bag or how its attached, compatibility with various receivers/handguards etc. or any specific information on the product available on the website.

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

it is made to attach to your rail using a quick attach mount. he doesnt offer a model for standard handguards yet. that is soon to come though.

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

I recently went through the AR brass catcher dilemma. I haven't reloaded for an AR in almost 30 years, but have been playing with my RRA varminter a bit and decided I wanted to load for it. I look an a number of them and decided on the E&L, which is what I used years ago. There are no swinging bags, and they attach well, although I've never used one for a flat top.....I still haven't used one as the one I ordered has,'t arrived yet. I know a lot of guys like the 3buc, but the E&L just looked like a better unit to me, time will tell.

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

also this catcher is made to sit off the side of rifle so you can visually inspect chamber without removing your bag. it is without a doubt the best i have used.

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

the e and l looks ok but i didn't like how there is no ventilation holes cut in it. there is a lot of gas and fumes coming out of the chamber being trapped in a sealed box

It's going to have to be a 7 colour camo tacticool towel (or at least Green or Sand) to cut it on the range!

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

The towel works if you're sitting at the bench or in one spot, if you actually like to shoot and move you need something else. When I use a brass catcher, the 3-bucc has worked well. Works on the AR and even the wife's .22.

This guy also makes one that is extremely light and works well. It mounts via hand guard picatinny or delta ring. It's so light it doesn't feel like you have it mounted.

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

Looks interesting. Those of us with reciprocating side charging handle AR type rifles look like we can benefit.

For example, the Keltec SU and PLR series gun has a reciprocating side handle that won't get caught with this solution.

Right now, I have a box that I taped together to catch the brass flying out my Keltec. But that limits my mobility and I find myself on an Eastern Brass hunt everytime I shoot the gun naturally.

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

I hear you I bought a cheap catcher that never worked. ended up fastening my hat on optic to knock brass down in a pile. This new brass bag is the berries.

If I am shooting and moving, I don't care where my brass goes as long as gets out of the gun.

Re: ar 15 brass catchers

I even use my new bag when I shoot steel cases. my shooting area had a layer of rusty cases an inch deep . Makes it nice not to have to clean up and after you swage a couple thousand once fired lc cases it makes you want to get all of them back to reload. plus they just dont give them away you know.
