Just finished my SPR in .22PDK. Here are a few pics and specs. I think I am really going to like it. You can shoot 80s and 90 out of the mag, 80s at around 2850fps and 90 at over 2700.

Wilson 1x7 twist 20” barrel chambered in .22PDK, Larue handguard & scope mnt, RRA upper & Lower, Krieger/Millazo trigger, Knight trigger guard, LMT SOPMOD stock, PRI mags & gas block, U.S. Optics 1.8-10x37, AAC SPR/M4 suppressor and adapter. Gun coated in OD green.

I had not heard of it either until about six months ago when I was talking with John Hollinger of White Oak Armament. It is based off the 6.8 spc, but necked down to .22 with a 30 degree shoulder and small primer pocket. SSA made brass for it. Cartridge has 36 grains water capacity.

That looks very interesting,

Do you have to fireform cases?

Any links to the cartridge specs?

Who built the bbl?

Have you got to shoot it yet and check velocity?

Thanks for sharing, that's a good looking rifle!

There is no fireforming if you use .22PDK brass. You can also use 6.8 spc and fireform it. John Hollinger did the barrel and sells the dies. I have shot it, and have done limited testing, looks good and is shooting 1/2 moa with mag length loads at the velocity I listed with RL-15. I will be doing more testing very soon. You can get brass through Roy Winnett. I enclosed the link, the site also has load data. Here is the reamer print.

Re: AR-15, SPR in .22 PDK

The AR variants interest me very much, this looks like an "ultimate" .223 caliber on the standard AR15 frame, without having to fireform cases (which I'm not interested in doing). This may be a future project for me.

I get out to Kinsley (pretty close to you) a couple of times a year to smoke a few prairie dogs, I'm friends with the Sheriff there; but it is getting harder and harder to find any good places, everyone is poisoning them out.

Thanks again, and please keep us updated on future performance and loads.

I see that they list 24" barrel but OAL? Bolt gun or Ar platform? </div></div>

I am sure those are bolt gun velocities with OAL about .060 longer.
