AR-15 with 69gr SMK...any pet loads?

Title pretty much says it. I have RL-15,Varget, TAC, and some Benchmark for powder. CCI primers and a bunch of 69gr SMK's and am seeking some "pet loads" to run through my 20" AR platform.

Mostly it will be for paper punching so looking for accuracy.

I shoot moly in mine with 69's and 25.7 of N-140, Win case, Rem 7.5 primer. Sub 1/2 MOA out of a 16" Obermeyer. For naked bullets you might start out about 24.0 gr.

I put nearly all the Varget I can get in them loaded to 2.255. 26.5 gr gets me to 2,980 average out of a 20" barrel. It's very accurate in my 1-8 twist Wilson barrel, but is over max according to Hodgdon, so use at your own risk.

25.3 varget, 25.o H4895, 25.3 RE15... all of these have cleaned 200 for me easily in HP, the H4895 load is a little cleaner and gets me 3000 fps and more X's.

24.5 Varget in the Preadator custom 7 twist Shieln had me banging the man silhouette @840. In my rifle the 77g were a better choice.

I'm partial to RL-15 in the AR. Basically bump your 75-77 load by .4 gr and run with it. With my current load that would be 24.6 RL-15. Set the bullet in to mag length and run with it.

25.3gr Varget
69SMK

This load performed SUB MOA out of two different RRA varmint platforms. One 18", the other 20"

Both tracked FGMM in both performance and ballistically out to 500.

You should find your 'node' between 25-25.5gr Varget...

Yes, as long as you don't load them longer than 2.255.

Right around 25ish grains of Tac has given me excellent results in every rifle I have tried it in . Running the rounds at mag length with Wolf primers and mixed brass.

Not common, I'm sure, but 26.0 grs IMR 4064, Nos. 69 gr. Comp.
.5 MOA for a five shot group. 1:8 Twist DPMS 24" Heavy Barrel. The last 5 rounds in the mag just went into the hole created by the fist five. Max listed is 25 grs, but no pressures signs; case capacity is 26.3 grs. Mag. length, compressed load.

23.8 grs of Benchmark using Fed 205 small rifle primers. I load them to 2.250 so they fit in a mag. .25 moa.

I shoot multi-gun and out of my AR 20 inch barrel 24.0g of varget, 69g BTHP SMK, OAL 2.225 I load the short in my AR because we use 45 round mags and that is just insurance that they will feed through the mag

I have had great luck out of my RRA 16" Varmint and Savage 12FV using 24.5 Varget, Federal match primers, Winchester brass and OAL of 2.25".

Bushmaster heavy barreled carbine shoots the 69gr SMK into .5 to .75 moa consistently with 26gr Varget, CCI 450, Winchester cases, oal 2.255. goes about 2650fps. During the Varget shortage, I have tested Tac, AA2230, Xterminator, Benchmark, RL15, H4895, & Probly a few others. Never tried the Viht powders, and if Varget was gone tomorrow, I would look to RL15, AA2230, & H4895, in that order.
