Rifle Scopes AR .223 set up for Varmit hunting

I've been moving some scopes around, and now my AR that is set up for varmit hunting no longer has optics... I had a zeiss 6.5-20 on it, and I liked that power range for what I used the gun for... right now with a new baby, and a new .308 I'm setting up, I don't have enough to buy another zeiss. I've been looking at some of the falcon, hawke frontier, weaver... basically everything around $400-$600.

granted, there is a$200-$250 price difference, is there anything that has a clear adavantage? I bought a cheap scope before (BSA), and it was a total piece of shit.. total waste of money.... I jsut hate to go that route again, but these scopes seem like they're getting good reviews around here..

DO NOT get a BSA, especially in that magnification range they are not clear.I'd recommend Weaver,Bushnell 4200,Nikon,Sightron.You can find these in your price and they are nice glass.In cheap optics the more you go up in mag the worse they get.PM me as I may have something you are looking for...

leupy has the ar scope in 3x9 with bdc for 55 `grain. I purchased on because my ar was lonely and needed glass but couldn't get the nightforce I wanted because of funds. It works pretty well for under $300

Vortex Viper, 3-9x40 for around $330, and a $50 rebate right now

Vortex Viper 6.5-20x50, I have one and they are very good scopes for the $$$ I just got back from a Pdog hunt in WY and shot around 250 of those little guys. Scope performed flawless and the glass is great, very nice scope for an Varmint AR, I also have 3 5.5-22x50 NightForces and Im hear to tell you the Viper is a good scope!

smokin.. I will check that out... that is inline with the magnification I need..

I started shooting the 40 gran v max bullets out of this gun, and it is amazing how well they shoot.... I was shooting crows a couple weekends ago, and shot a couple at 250-275 yards... they just went "poof"

one other thing... I wasn't referring to BSA scopes getting good reviews around here... I was referring to the other ones I listed before.... BSA is shit, that was just an example of wasted money.

I believe the 6.5-20 Vipers have 68MOA
