AR 308 question..

Re: AR 308 question..

There is no "mil-spec" or fixed standard for .308 AR-type semi-autos.

Armalite says barrel extensions should be torqued down to 150ft/lbs and the barrel nuts between 45-90ft/lbs.

DPMS says 35-85ft/lbs on their barrel nuts and I have never seen a recommended torque setting for their extensions.

So on and so forth...

Knowing which platform you are working with (Armalite, DPMS, POF, LMT, LWRC, Larue, etc., etc., etc.) is a good first step and you may end up having to contact the mfg for specifics.

Re: AR 308 question..

LMT is 40 in/lbs but that dosnt help since they are cross bolts

Anchor, I believe the cross bolts on the MWS are 140 inch pounds.
