Looking to build an ar-15 from the ground up. And I mean completely. I want to build the lower, upper, all of it. I have to knowledge on how to build one, but does anyone have a very detailed parts list? Another thing, I may go with 5.56/.223, but there are so many possibilities I may want to change it up a little. But I need to do my best to stay UNDER 1250. So not 1275 or 1300, 1250, I've already stretched it that far. Any tips anyone might throw in for the build? Thanks

Spend the majority of your money on the barrel, bolt and matched upper/lower. White Oak Armory has some very nice offerings in the barrel market and you can have them match a bolt to it as well. I have a Shaw SS BBL on my gun right now and it is a sub MOA barrel for around $200 and they will also match a bolt to it for you. Once you have picked your barrel I would go with a good upper/lower combo like Aero Precision or MEGA, the tighter the fit the tighter your groups will be. After that just save up and and get a good piece of glass and ammo.
