AR-Comp Powder with 168grn A-Max ANYONE

Re: AR-Comp Powder with 168grn A-Max ANYONE

A week ago, I tried AR Comp out of my SR-25 .308 Win. My load was 40.0 grains in a nickel Federal case/Fed. 210 primer/ 168 A Max/ 2.785" COL. I shot two 5 shot groups @ 100 yards. The groups measured .85" and 1.20".

On Friday, I tried AR Comp with the new Hornady .30 cal 168 OTM AMP in my 308 Win. 40XBKS bolt gun. I shot two, 5 shot groups @ 100 yards that measured .34" and .55".

My load was 41.0 gr. in Winchester cases/ Federal 210/ @ 2.815" COL. Alliant loading data shows AR Comp maxes out with 168 gr. bullets a little below 43 grains.

Since you're shooting an autoloader, I'd start around 40 grains and go up from there.

I would think AR Comp will work well in your autoloader.

No, I didn't run it across a chronograph.
