AR in 6mmbr

Has anyone here built one ?

pros - cons ?

I know the arc is all the rage now but I would like to build something different,
I built a 243 LBC. I can't say enough good about it. Going to put my 65G on the sale block. With the 243 LBC all i've shot from it is the 100 grn. bullets. I don't think i'm going play with anything else.

Your issue is gonna be the bolt. 6BR uses a 308 (.473") case head, which I'm not sure you can even fit on an ar15 sized bolt, or if you can there will be very little material left on the bolt face after you cut it to fit that case head. If you jump to an ar10 platform, you are gonna run into feeding issues with the short cartridge, would have to build a spacer system into the magazine I would imagine, like how MDT does with their 6BR AICS mags.

For AR15 you will need something based off the grendel case/case head of .441" or the 6.8 spc case/case head of .421". so 6mm ARC would be the easy button, as there barrels, mags, bolts, head stamped brass, dies, factory ammo, etc for. Or a 6mm variant of another ar15 cartridge.

For AR10, 6mm creed would be the easy button. but there are lots of options you could go.

I thought about 243 LBC and even the 6mm grinch, what I like about the 6mmbr is that you can buy Lapua factory ammo that is extremely accurate,
maybe you can post up some pics,

Isn’t the 458 Socom a 35k psi cartridge? Roughly. I’m helping you out here call compass lake engineering and ask Frank why he WILL NOT BUILD an ar15 in 6br

I talked to compass lake, he was going to look into a few things
looking into the tromix bolt and I don’t believe it is going to be strong enough for the pressures of the br,
I think Wilson combat has the perfect upper but they won’t sell them individually

The upper and lower come from FNH when they had their Outlet Store.

Anyone attempting to make larger than standard AR15 bolts are subject to be sued by Kramer out of Vegas. He's never made a single bolt but he has a patent on them. I was making them in 2007 and posted a photo on 6mmBR.com, 3 months later he filed for patent and received the patent in 2015. He tried to sue me but that didn't go any farther than the threatening letter since I had proof I was making them before he filed for patent.
If someone wanted to they could prove his patent void but it would take a bunch of money, not worth it for me.
