whats you folks opinion on the best alumnium ar mags. im looking to laser engrave a bunch of mags and was looking for some opinions. im not sure a polymer mag would work

As long as they are spec USGI mag bodies running Magpul enhanced followers...they should be 100%. You might check around on ARFCOM for large quantity/bulk order mags.

after i saw how bad the first set of pics were i did that and it helped. a new camera is somthing thats on my short list to buy

Neither one are aluminum,kinda gay to say Pmags or HK steel mags met that requirement
