AR Trigger problem

I was dry firing my AR list night and ran into a situation that I would like help troubleshooting.

The trigger fired, I cycled the action and the hammer reset. After 5 minutes or so something hit a snag and I was not able to pull the trigger again or move the safety off "Fire." I tried to recycle the rifle with some force, and use the forward assist. Finally I had to take down the rifle, release the hammer manually, and push down rather hard on the back of the trigger body to rock everything down so the safety could function. From then on everything worked well. Any ideas on what would cause this?

The parts involved: Geissele 2 Stage (G2S) trigger, Seekins ambi safety, Aero lower.

Weird. I have the same trigger in a new build. I wonder if some piece of crud got stuck somewhere and disassembling and putting it back together cleared it. Just a wild a$$ guess....

Did you build this ar-15 yourself, and how many rounds have had through it?
If it's a new build, maybe a spring was installed incorrectly.

If it came prebuilt from the factory like that, give the ar-15 company a call.

I did put this together myself and I've probably fired 60 rounds through it. I will try to snap a picture of the trigger and post it here when I get home from work.

It kind of sounds like the disconnect was hung up.

Did either pin walk out? This trigger has a metal clip that goes on the hammer to hold its pin in place.

At a glance everything looked okay, and both trigger pins were in place.
