are there any restrictions in selling AR uppers with flash hiders / threaded barrels and loaded ammunition to California residents??

Does anyone know the facts?

Re: AR uppers and Ammo to California

Try Calguns.net (california gun owners website). AFAIK there are no restrictions on either although Los Angeles has a goofy ammo ban similar to the ones in Chicago and New York City.

Re: AR uppers and Ammo to California

as posted before.. certain counties have different restrictions on what is legal.. certain sites have a feature to tell you if they can send there products to your city.. for instance cheaper than dirt has that feature.. so as your are browsing threw the products you can see if they will ship it to your city..

i do not know all the laws, but do know that if you have a 14.5" barreled ar the flash hider has to be either pinned or welded and equal a total length of over 16"

also you can have all the "bad" stuff aka flash hiders, pistol grip, collapsible stock as long as the mag is not detachable.. ie the stupid bullet button or similar device..

Re: AR uppers and Ammo to California

Cheaperthandirt is ignorant they wont send any AR or AK type products to CA because they are "illegal". No uppers a restricted, except of course a .50 BMG, and for the most part no ammo restrictions(except for incindiarys or tracers)I know this because I have family there and they have AR's

Indeed, you can ship any kind of upper configuration. It's up to the recipient to be in compliance when the upper is assembled into a rifle.

This is correct. The manufacturer of the AR lower is controlled

to a point but no restrictions on uppers because they are not a gun until assembled with a lower.
