AR10 .936” Bull Barrel handguard clearance

I have a AR10 bull barrel with superlative arms .936” GB. Most handguards are 1.5” ID which leaves next to no clearance. It’s a 22” barrel, so a 12.5” handguard would look silly (unless it’s a quad rail). Anyone have any extra wide suggestions?

For high profile, the Aero M5 Enhanced, with the optional BAR barrel nut for regular threaded uppers, will get you 1.72" ID.

I have a 22” .936 bull barrel AR15 and went with the JP hand guard with a JP adjustable Gas Block. No interference issues at all.

You said AR10... do you mean a Armalite ?

I ask because MidwayUSA has had the Armalite barrel threads Lancer Carbon Fiber on Clearance for cheap, various lengths.. inside width of 1.89"

also available in a 16.6" length, black or FDE. As mentioned above, they're "DPMS-high", so, depending on what upper receiver you're using, if it's DPMS-high, DPMS-low, or "other", what it identifies as.

I had one on a SLR set and the handguard had plenty of clearance.

Aren't many out there for a large frame gasser with lots of clearance around a 0.936 adjustable. I use JP and SLR and there is an Odin Works rail as well but not as stiff as the first two.

Something that I found interesting is that Aero has recently started offering Armalite AR-10 spec BAR type barrel nuts (1-7/16"x18 TPI), in addition to the DPMS/SR-25 thread pitch (1-7/16"x16 TPI), for their M5 Enhanced handguards. Centerline of bore to the top of the rail is very close between Armalite and DPMS high profile (within 0.005"), so they should be compatible in that regard.
