First time posting and would really like to get options on......
Should I get the KNC SR25 steel mags for better COAL in my JP LRP. Or is the idea of the 'longer allows better...' relative to loads recipes and use?

175 TMK COAL 2.900 touches the lands.
Pmags don't do that but the KA SRs internaly can do 2.88 if one can afford the kidney needed to buy one. C products and ACS do close we will see.

2.88 is the actual measurement on the inside. You can’t load and feed 2.88. I’ve seen KAC 308 mags on here used for $55-$60.

I reference that as well. I mostly use a 10 round KAC in a bolt action for 6XC. I’ve used it for 6.5 Creedmoor and found my 139 Scenar load shoots just as good or better at 2.80. I’ve loaded them out to 2.85 but really didn’t gain anything by doing so.

It’s a little surprising the throat would be that long on a JP barrel.

Ya, me too. I had to get crafty to measure it. But 175gr TMKs.... the ogive on these is way back I surmise.
