Need some help. I am looking for a new Handguard / handrail for my AR15. Let me start and say I know absolutely nothing about AR platform stuff. I do not know if it matters if they are cheap or expensive. Figured I would ask here. I would like to match the Handrail on my POF 308. Can someone point me in the direction I could get one close to it?
The AR15 has a 20” barrel if that matters

Thanks. I have another question. It will not hurt the accuracy of the rifle by changing it out. Correct?
Most likely you will have to change out the barrel nut. That typically involves removing the muzzle device and gas block/gas tube. Although not difficult, it does require the correct tools/equipment/supplies. and if not done correctly can lead to some serious issues.

I do not want to sell the Handguard. I won it at the Snipers Hide fall bash. I don’t remember what year. But would like to keep it because I could always put it back to how I won it.
FYI I would not put the front scope ring on the rail itself, as it can flex and affect your accuracy. This is why cantilever mounts are very popular with ARs. What do you use this AR for?

Do you have a preference on length? You have a low profile gas block, so you could go longer than what you have. I have an Aero 12" S-One on a 16" mid-length gas lightweight, but the longer ones didn't fair well in some rail deflection tests. CMT has a similar design that looks like it would do better with deflection. Of course, you can add Picatinny rail sections at the front to look/function like the picture in your first post.

Seekins makes a similar looking rail

My only experience is a friend has one on his AR and really likes it. The gun will shoot sub MOA so there is something...

Can't tell from the picture but be aware some handguards have compatibility issues. For example the Atlas S-One "Compatible with mil-spec AR15 upper receivers and barrels". So if your upper is billet or not mil-spec it won't fit. Also, if you are thinking of going to a piston conversion in the future, ensure that the handguard you choose is compatible for that.
