Just got one today, and for now, want to stay open sights with it. Is it possible to put ar15 type sights on it, or would it have to go to a smith to do it? I searched but couldnt come up with anything. Thanks

There is a company that makes a set of military style sights for the 10/22. They fit in the stock dovetail in front, and mount on top of the receiver for the rear. Let me look and see if I can find it.

I've got a set of Tech Sights on a 10/22 and am very happy with them. They are quite good for the money. The only thing I've found is that you really do need to make sure to loctite the front site in place. Other than that, they've been good so far.
