everytime i see a video of someone building an AR15 lower and they are testing the trigger reset its always a crisp sounding click. on mine its more of a thunk. is that a problem?

If you're testing the a factory or parts kit trigger with just the lower, the reset sounds like a click. With the upper installed and your melon on the stock, it sounds like a thunk. Either way, there's a sounds to let you know the trigger is reset.
