Ar308; grinding bolt catch

Have a Gen 3 pa65, noticed the bolt catch was hitting the carrier body and not the bolt face.. while holding the bolt all the way back, it was just barely in the way of the catch coming up.
Is this normal? Would a aero catch solve it?

I took it out and filed some material off and it works now.

just curious as to why it would t work properly out of the box

I reckon so.
Hopefully there won’t be any more issues. Since the BCG is toolcraft and I’ve changed the barrel and handguard, got rid of as much psa as possible.
Shoots lights out though.

I have done that to one as well.. works perfectly now.

FWIW... the Aero Precision version will not work... due to subtle differences between the 2 designs. ( and ultimately a lack of any milspec guidelines like the AR15 )
