Re: ARD for a PH 5-25x56? Who makes one?
Having used both Tenebraex and USO ARDs on multiple scopes I concur that the USO honeycomb design yields a much brighter, sharper image than the Tenebraex.
Be mindful, however, that the USO unit is significantly longer.
If you are running an UNS on a forward rail (like firemarshall27's stick above) it can be an issue.
I found that the USO unit was too long to mount a
PVS-26 using a Badger EFR on a Crusader (A5 stock) with an S&B 4-16x50.
Now some might argue that you should remove the ARD anyway, but part of the UNS magic is that you don't have to
.
Also I have not compared the efficacy of each ARD in diffusing reflection at distances over 300 yards.
Has anyone done this comparison?
It would be a shame to learn that the increased light transmission of the USO also makes it easier to detect, the goal of an ARD in the first place.
