I believe Triad inquired from Eagle if there would be any issues with Triad taking their design and enhancing it. If I recall the post by Triad correctly, Eagle basically had no interest in that product anymore, so Triad began making their own. Triad seems to make nice stuff.
I have owned several Eagle Stock Packs over the years. I just recently had to retire 2 of them and replaced them with Triad Stock Packs. I don't think I will buy another Eagle Stock Pack. The Triad product is made just as good, if not better and has more features than the Eagle.
Has anyone got their hands on one of the new Triad slick-backs yet?.. I ask because I was wondering how the fit compaired to the standard eagle pack is?
I previously had the eagle on a B&C Medalist A2. That was like trying to cram 20lbs of shit into a 5lb pack, the fit was horrible. I'm currently running a Manners T3 and while the pack fits better it leaves much to be desired.
Mine fits just fine on my B&C Tactical Medalist A2 ..... I had to move around the velcro straps to make it fit right. But, now that it's adjusted I think it fits well.
Looks like I got one of their last eagles about a month ago. Too bad, the eagle packs were very nice for the price. Have to give the Triad pack a try shortly.
Never could find an Eagle, so really cannot compare. Got one from Triad tho. shipped quickly and a quality product imo.
I'll be getting another when the new stick is done.
