Rifle Scopes Are rings really better than a scope mount?

Let us say this is a MEGA .308 build with a SWFA SS 3-15x42 scope. Would an ADM 30mm Recon Mount give me better performance and repeat ability over a set of rings in the $100 range?

A good set of rings will do the same as a good mount. Depending on your set up, though, it may be ideal to run a cantilever mount to avoid spanning the handguard/receiver interface with rings.

That is kind of what I was worried about. That and being able to quickly remove the scope/mount to use backups if needed.

I'm looking mostly at the forward mounted Bobro or the ADm Recon

I have the 3 main AR mounts - Bobro, ADM & LaRue all outstanding. Another benefit of the mount is you can get it with MOA built into it for optimum longer range shooting (especially if your glass has limited elevation travel). My ADM has 20 MOA of cant and my LaRue has 10 MOA of cant...both are on 308 AR's.
