Are the new Vortex spotters out yet?

SWFA shows them in stock but I haven't heard much else. Wondering if anyone has tried one out

Thanks,

Paul
New here. Anyway picked one up about 3 months ago, Razor (16-48x65). Went in with my sons to buy it. They only wanted it to use for hunting as it seemed just right. I on the other hand wanted it for lr shooting. Thought it would be perfect for both. My plan was to get the mil. reticle eyepiece to use with it. Well it wasn't compatible with it and that just sucks. Called Vortex to see if there was any options to make this work as I really wanted to be able to use it with that scope. They said they would get back to me. Never did? So I sent the eyepiece back. As for the scope it is good, was able to spot hits on steel and misses at 1k yds. As the day wore on had to turn the power down to around 30 to lose mirage. Its a good scope but for me I need the eyepiece. I'll probably buy the new Bushnell sooner than later.

Gone, I feel your pain.
I ordered a spotter b/c the manufacturer and distributors both list an eyepiece with ranging reticle for it.
Before it shipped I looked around for the eyepiece and it appears to be vaporware.
Made a deal with the seller to downgrade (slightly) on the spotter (Optolyth 100 to Optolyth Compact 80) plus the accessory eyepiece with reticle (available for that model) with a $170 cash infusion from me.

It's tough when the manufacturers bait you with accessories that don't exist.

If Vortex made a reticle eyepiece for both the Razor compact spotter and the Viper HD line, they would OWN the market. I just don't understand the lack of understanding.

Agreed.

I was just talking to them yesterday about this.

I suggest everyone call them and ask for a reticle for the Viper HD.

What I would LOVE to see would be a zoom spotting scope with FFP reticle.

I asked about an FFP reticle in a spotting scope.

The comment was, "the problem would be that the reticle would not be removeable."

It seems they are looking to other markets, rather than the shooting world.

That's dumb as hell! They need to offer the razor with a FFP reticle- ebr-2B. And add some mounts for rails and shit like bushnell has done. Offer the razor with and without a reticle. How hard can that be? But whatever...
