I have a Shilen chrome moly select barrel with 200 rounds chambered in 30-338 for a pre 64 Winchester and a hart stainless 243 ackley barrel with about 250 rounds down the barrel chambered for 243 ackley for post 64 controlled round feed Winchester 70 and threaded 5/16-24.

Are these worth anything? No issues with the barrels just don’t have a use for them anymore.

    Thanks for you help.

I would say they are worth a little money for sure. Keep in mind I haven’t shopped around for Winchester barrels but I do for other rifles and I would think the barrels you have would run between $150-200 a piece based on condition and round count

Depending on the profile, it may be possible to set it back, rechamber and re-thread, but that much work will cost someone more than to have a new barrel spun up. Of course, aspiring gunsmiths are always looking for practice barrels, or hobby projects.

    Even non-aspiring gunsmiths...
If I want to "experiment" in a different method of doing something related to fitting/chambering, a cheap takeoff is what's needed. Certainly worth a few bucks, but shipping is the downside due to weight.
