Do you guys torque the adapter on?

I do not. Just snug it up and give it a paranoid bump.

I take the adapter off frequently for cleaning. It's easy to let your crown get nasty when it's out of sight.

yeah, have that hellfire on my tikka t3x lite hunting rifle in 300wsm. friggin pussycat. few years back i had the t3 lite in 300win and that kicked like a friggin' mule if not two. just wish t3x came threaded as i had to take it to a 'smith and have that done.
