I'm moving from VA to mid/southern WVA as soon as I can. Was going to move to TX, but not feeling the same about it these days. Don't even need a CCP in WVA as long as you're of legal age and have legal ownership of the firearm. Even now Charleston WVA has its cork sniffing and coal lobbying that's literally poisoning them (2014 Elk River disaster). Not going to act like it's the best state ever, but if you just want a little corner of land where you can take care of yourself they have the land and most of the laws for it.
As for Florida, they have a live fire training requirement, same as most states do and is typically required for ease of reciprocity, but they accept many forms of proof of proficiency. Proof of hunter's safety course is one such form, as is a DD214, POST training, NRA class, or a state approved course, but all of which at some point required evidence of firearm proficiency. I'm certain you used one of these forms, otherwise you wouldn't have a CCL from Florida.Just that FL may be an easier state to get a CC than TX, which would be unbelievable...
I can’t say that it is cuz I have a FL CC permit but I don’t have a TX CC permit...

And??? Same as Utah. Utah ccw class is about self defense law. Next to nothing about guns.Suprizingly you can get a CC permit in FL w/o ever shooting a live round at a target...ask me how I know![]()
Texas is all talk, little action. An incumbent GOP almost lost their senate seat there this year, look for the Governorship to go blue next cycle and it's all downhill from there.

AJ, note that Tennessee is another state that has mandatory class for concealed carry, including veteran Marksmanship Instructors with numerous expert qualifications. "Patron state of shooting shit", my dying ass...

W Va is a good spot.
Saddley and with all the demarcates moving in from California that 10 years just became closer to 5 or less.Texas is about ten years or one blanket amnesty from becoming the next California. They will never see Constitutional carry.
What's your point?
Coloradans thought the same thing. Idaho will fall to the same fate as well.Eh, Californians ain't so bad. They leave California to experience Texas, not to turn it into California. Most people who leave California are also the Conservative minority who want to feel more at home and not argue with their neighbors all the time. There is a lot of Conservative flight from liberal centers like Chicago, West Coast, and Northeast. They come to Texas for the jobs, the lower taxes, the cheaper homes, and the ability to stretch their dollars further.
You should see all the “expert instructors” at my range.I'm all about constitutional carry but I have to say that I'm glad Texas requires people to go through a class. Some of the people I seen in the class can't even hit the target/ barely qualify much less know the legal ramifications of using a firearm.

When the LARGEST city in South Dakota, Sioux Falls is less than 200,000 people, the next is Rapid City at less than 100,000, and the state has a population density of about 11 people per square mile. Constitutional Concealed Carry there would be similar to constitutional carry 200 years ago.
Texas on the other hand (just picking on Texas) has a population density about ten times that but the big issue is the number of big cities. How many cities/metro areas have a larger population than the whole state of South Dakota (even during bike week).
Even if 90% of the people in the big cities were responsible enough to be trusted to concealed carry in the big cities you would have thousands that shouldn't be carrying (based on intelligence not 2A rights). In just the Dallas-Fort Worth area that 10% would be more people than Sioux Falls, S.D.
That libs in the big cities across the nation take the popular vote away from the suburbs and rural voters is the reason it would be unwise to allow everyone to CCC. Pick a state that doesn't have a city with a million people, maybe there, but not in the big cities.
some of the instructors cant hit shit either and they dont know what the fuck they are talking about....
Why would you want to give permission to anyone to basically block a right you have in the Constitution? You are a frightened little sheep that is a danger to all free men.
Well that's not a very nice thing to say, armyjerry. You don't even know me.
You showed who you are by your posts, RocketVapo also, so yes I know you, I've been observing you my whole adult life, sometimes watching on a map with an assigned plot, sometimes through the aperture, sometimes looking across a wall, I've been watching your kind for a long time,,, and that is why I constantly buy more ammo for someday, and probably sooner than most think, my kind and your kind are going to come together and hash things out in this country. You believe in freedom or you dont.

Reasonable people can disagree. But the key word is reasonable.
I spent a good amount of time overseas fighting for your right to have your opinion. My life as a combat disabled veteran is forever altered. That is who I am.

You didn't fight for my right so shut the fuck up shitferbrains, I dont believe you are a veteran,
sabrecross,
First, thank you for your service.
I thank my wife for her service and she thanks me for mine.
Maybe I'm not all that 'Reasonable' as I see a whole demographic that should not be able to conceal carry.
The problem is to keep them from owning guns it risks my right (you know the one God gave me).
It's one reason I will not live in a civilian war zone.
When I get worried I won't be moving to Texas.
and (that other guy) before you comment I could care less if you think the wife and I served.
