I'm looking to mount a 40 mm Leupold mk4 on my SPR upper that has the PRI swan rail. I have read that the ARMS 22 medium rings will allow the scope to clear, but what I'm wondering is if there will still be enough room with the Magpul PRS stock. Should I use high rings to allow enough room for proper eye alignment, or will the mediums do the job with this stock?

Re: Arms Rings

The real question with a mk12 mod 0 is will you run the #40 buis? Because you will need higher than mediums to clear that with the back end of your scope if you want to set the scope back. Also a bit of an issue with Butler creek covers. You may be able to use the #40l to help with that, I'm not 100% sure. As far as the prs... It is not any higher than an a2 or a1 which is perfect for the medium rings. You probably won't utilize the adjustability of the prs which would lead to the question why are you using that heavy thing in the first place. I would recommend you type mk12 mod 0 prs into google images and take a look at what people are doing, which looks like they are using the larue spr mount.

Re: Arms Rings

I thought of the Larue, but they are back ordered and swamped. The upper is from PRI, so it's not the Arms sight. I'm using the PRS for adjustability, and to accommodate the 50 mm that I am borrowing at the moment.

Re: Arms Rings

If no rear sights, rock the arms and call it a day. I'm just letting you know, if you plan to do anything other than bench or prone shooting, it's already a heavy gun and the prs won't help. Looks cool though.
