Here are a few of the deer killed on family place in east Texas thus far 2009. There were at least 4 I didnt get pics of but here are some. 1st is a nice 8 or 9 pt with spike under it. 2nd is a nice 12 pt, 3rd is a nice 8 pt,4th is 7 pt, last is 12 pt that was really nice.
Capitain Kick Ass passed on a free trip to go kill one of these deer. Maybe I can get him off his ass to go next time.

Re: Arnold Ranch in east Texas numerous Pics

This is private land in Houston County outside of Crockett Texas. My family owns it. We have a several big places but lease them all out to hunters except this place. Its 640 acres next to my family home. The 12 point in back of the pick up with the guy holding it came from another place of ours across the road from the 640 acres. He and his dad lease from us. We have increased the size and quality of deer in the past 8 to 10 years by not killing small bucks, thinning the does and spikes. Worked pretty well. We have a lot of acorn flats, feed corn and also have several rye grass patches and right a ways.

Nice! East Texas can produce some nice size deer (and racks) if adequate mass (and/or supplementation) is present and the herd is managed. We hunt next door in Cherokee Co.
