I consider myself a fairly intelligent guy....although math is NOT my forte.

Anyways, I just got a new scope with an MOA reticle and I have been using http://www.shooterready.com/ to try and practice with it. I had just got used to mils so Im trying to retrain my brain.

Anyways, I cant seem to get it right.....this program is kicking my butt.

Am I correct that the ranging formula for MOA is to divide the number of MOA into the amount of inches tall the target is then multiply times 100 and thats the yardage right?

I plug in the numbers off the chart and pull the trigger and its always off....I never hit right off the bat.

Is their software bad or what am I doing wrong?

I've only used the demo a few times in Mils so I looked at the M.O.A version and you may want to check a couple things.

Your math looks good for that program so your G.T.G there.
Remember the target size is 72" from the top of the white to the bottom of the grey now if your ranging just the white part of the target that's only 40". I'm guessing that somewhere in there your ranging the white part only and using 72" instead of the 40" also on the reticle each line is 1 M.O.A even the smaller ones.
Hope that helps !
