Hi Everybody...am new to this post - pls excuse an old question probably asked million of times. Does anybody know where I can get an operating manual for an ART II Leatherwood scope, either a hardcopy or a download version off the internet? Pls help. Thanks,

Re: ART II Scope manual

Appendix B to FM 23-10 has a description and overview of the ART II that may help you some...see here:

http://library.enlisted.info/field-manuals/series-2/FM23_10/APPB.PDF

Other than that...I'm not sure where you might find a PDF or other e-copy of the manual unless someone here has one handy. If I were you, I'd try getting in touch with Leatherwood Optics directly, or with Iron Sight, Inc., and see if one of them can provide you with a copy of the manual.

Good luck!!

Re: ART II Scope manual

I have one somewhere - I'll look ... The heavy lines that support the actual cross-hairs are used to bracket a military-type silhouette ( read between the lines) , when the power-ring is locked into the elevation cam , in the biggest notch .The combined dials are rotated until the silhouette is the same height as the heavy line , which tilts the scope accordingly . The fine cross-hairs are then used . The fine dots - if yours has them - are used for leading the target . Once the target is ranged , the rings can be separated , if you want to change magnification . Turning the cam will change the elevation . Hope this helps ...
